So, as I’m beginning the morning update, I realize that this blog has suddenly taken on a “kid” focus… you know, those blogs that are people just telling about their kids… I PROMISE THIS WILL NOT ALWAYS BE THE CASE!  Right now it’s the best way to communicate to all of you who are praying for us.  It’s astounding the numbers of people that are following Isaac’s progress and continuing to pray for him.  The prayers are literally felt here.

For those of you that like the kid stories, Isaac will continue to make stories, as he is becoming (really… “has become and is” would be more appropriate) such a story of faith and hope for our families.  “How Great is Our GOD.”

So, the update:

Isaac had a great night last night!  During the day yesterday, as he sunbathed under the blue & red Biliyrubin lamp with those AWESOME foam shades, he was struggling a little more than they would like for him to breathe.  They had put him on what’s called a Hi-Flow O2 tank, which is similar but a little more forceful than the one’s that old people where in the movies.  So, last evening they put him back on the CPAP, the Rhino-looking hose & tank combo.  But, this morning, Nurse Jenny has just finished changing him back over to the Hi-Flow because his levels are balancing out.  He’s out from under the Billyrubin lights and his Billyrubin count is down to 11 from 13 last night.  All of his cultures came back clear, so he’s off the steady flow of general antibiotics.  And, they’re still increasing his feedings.  When we left last night he was taking 16cc’s (just over 3 Tablespoons)… and we’re not sure where he is on that this AM.

We haven’t seen him yet this Mother’s day.  Angie’s doing her makeup now so she can look good for the little man.  I’m excited that on his first holiday it’s one that’s about him and him mom… my wife.  These are the loves of my life.
