I had this thought the other day.
I’m a dad now.
Not in the sense of a “daddy-o” (apparently, 60’s jazz lingo is making a comeback). But, in the sense of it’s now after 1am and I’m simultaneously watching TV and a baby monitor.
It’s still very surreal. We’ve only been home for the hospital for 2 weeks, but I can’t picture the house without him.

It has to be the way that GOD sees us … not through a baby monitor … but maybe, I guess.
I’m working through these new thoughts I’m having on GOD. The GOD the Father concept hasn’t really ever played into my mind.
GOD the Protector: sure.
GOD the Friend: absolutely.
But, GOD the Father wasn’t ever the strongest to me.
Recently, though, it’s been very strong.

We came up with his name from Genesis. We laughed a lot when we found out we had been choosen.
I think GOD does this when we choose HIM.
It’s a beautiful picture to me.
… even the baby monitor!

I love this post and agree – there’s nothing like being a parent to open our eyes to the love God has for us as his children.
