Turns out I’m getting the short end of the stick…
First vomit … right here. Thank you, SO much.
He really is doing better. Nurse Stephanie explained to us that after some labs and an x-ray this morning they think the heart rate drop was from reflux. They’re continuing to increase his feedings. He’s now at 40cc’s (8 Tablespoons) of 24 calorie formula. Normal formula is 20 calorie … the extra 4 calories is to help him pack on some pounds, er, ounces. So, as we’ve been cuddling the last few hours he’s had 2 times his BP dropped (both for me) and after sitting him up and burping and expelling a little vom, he’s good.
It’s a slow process.
Everyone is positive.
He’s getting better.
Right now he’s smiling at Angie while holding her hand. Makes for good moments.

He is so beautiful, and he looks perfect to me!! Those babies who don’t have tubes and tape look odd! HA! You’ll be amazed at how quickly his little body will grow and strengthen and these NICU days will only be a blur. Soon, his lungs will be full functioning, yelling machines! We’ll keep praying! We can’t wait to love on him!!!!
