Sunday night, our good friends came over for one of many cookouts of the warmer months on Apple Blossom Circle.  We always enjoy being outside.  We ALWAYS enjoy eatting.  And, we really enjoy time with our friends.  These are some of our people that have been around the block a few times with us.  The ones that you can get pissed with and still hug and love 5 minutes later.  The best kind.

It seems that a lot of times when we get together we end up in some crazy situations.  In college I lived with Ryan and one night his then “friend” Megan (now wife) died our hair.  Good clean college fun.  Another time, we all went camping and we startled awake by racoons ravaging our campsite.  I guess these aren’t all “THAT”crazy but they’re what I an think of right off… I’m not a morning person.

Well Sunday night was no different. They had been talking about how they wanted to start cutting their 16-month-old’s hair on their own but were afraid he’d freak out from the hair clippers. So, being the impulsive one of the four of us (I guess five if you count the son) I went upstairs and got my clipper set.

And, 5 minutes after that… and once Uncle PJ pulled out the “product:”

“Welcome to manhood, homey.  You’re no longer a boy.”

All of this makes me think of losing our innocence. Where did we go wrong? Where did you go wrong? How can you get your’s back?
